SchoolDiscipline & Policies
Every student of Champi Devi Inter College is expected to maintain discipline, regular attendance, responsibility and respect. The following rules also include scholarship, leave and medical assistance policies applicable to the school community.
Attendance & Regularity
Regular attendance and punctuality are compulsory for every student.
- A minimum attendance of 75% is compulsory for all students to appear in examinations.
- Students who do not maintain 75% attendance may be deprived of benefits and assistance provided by the school.
- If a student's attendance falls below 60%, the student's name may be removed from the school register.
- If a student remains continuously absent for three days, the student's name may be removed from the school register.
- Student attendance will be recorded every day after the morning prayer.
- All students are expected to attend school regularly and follow the prescribed school rules.
School Uniform
Students must attend school in the prescribed neat and clean uniform.
- Students must attend the college in the prescribed, neat and clean school uniform every day.
- A student coming to school without the prescribed uniform may be required to remain in the library for 30 minutes after school.
Mobile Phones & Electronic Devices
Mobile phones and unauthorised electronic devices are strictly controlled inside the school campus.
- Carrying a mobile phone in school is strictly prohibited.
- If a student has to bring a mobile phone for an unavoidable reason, it must be deposited with the school administration.
- If the phone is not deposited, it may be confiscated by the school.
- A confiscated phone will be returned only to the student's parent or guardian.
- Unauthorised electronic gadgets are not permitted inside the school campus.
Discipline & Conduct
Maintaining discipline in the school is the responsibility of every student.
- On the first violation of discipline, the student's parent or guardian will be informed.
- On the second violation, the parent or guardian will be required to visit the school.
- If the parent or guardian does not visit the school within two days after being called, the student's name may be removed from the school register.
- On the third violation of discipline, a financial penalty of ₹100 may be imposed and the parent or guardian will be required to visit the school.
- After a third disciplinary violation, the student may also be deprived of assistance and benefits provided by the school.
- Serious misconduct may result in permanent removal of the student's name from the school.
- Students involved in indiscipline may be deprived of the monthly attendance award provided by the school.
Misconduct, Fighting & Abusive Behaviour
The school maintains a strict policy against misconduct and inappropriate behaviour.
- Abusive behaviour, fighting, involvement in wrongdoing or the use of abusive language will be treated as indiscipline.
- A student found involved in such behaviour may be required to remain in the library for 30 minutes after school.
- Serious misconduct can result in permanent removal from the school.
Homework & Library Discipline
Students are expected to complete their academic responsibilities regularly.
- Students who fail to complete homework or violate discipline may be required to study in the library for 30 minutes after school.
- This additional library period is intended to encourage responsibility and academic discipline.
Arrival, Leaving School & Student Leave
Students must follow school timings and obtain permission before taking leave.
- Students should submit a written leave application or prior written message whenever leave is required.
- In an emergency, the requirement may depend on the circumstances.
- Student entry into the school will normally be permitted only before the first school bell.
- After entering the school, a student may leave only in exceptional circumstances and with approval based on the parent or guardian's consent.
- A student leaving the school under such circumstances may be treated as absent for attendance purposes.
- Except during the lunch period, students must not unnecessarily remain outside their classrooms.
- Every student should bring a water bottle to school.
Removal from Register & Re-Admission
Repeated removal from the school register is subject to strict limits.
- A student's name may be restored after removal from the register a maximum of three times during one academic session.
- If the student's name is removed for the fourth time during the same session, the removal may become permanent.
- The first re-admission fee is ₹100.
- The second re-admission fee is ₹200.
Damage to School Property
Students are responsible for protecting school property.
- If a student damages any school property, the student may be required to pay a financial penalty or compensation for the loss.
Higher Education Scholarship
Eligible former students may receive financial assistance for one higher-education degree or diploma course.
- The beneficiary must have passed Class 12 from this school with at least 70% marks.
- The student must also have maintained at least 75% attendance in Class 12.
- The scholarship will be provided only for the first and one degree or diploma course.
- To continue receiving the scholarship, the student must secure at least 60% marks every year in the degree or diploma course.
- A minimum of 75% attendance must also be maintained every year.
- The maximum scholarship amount will be ₹50,000 per year or the actual tuition fee, whichever is lower.
- A student involved in indiscipline may be deprived of the scholarship.
- The scholarship will not continue if the student changes the degree course, diploma course, college or institution.
- If the student receives a scholarship from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the student will not receive this Higher Education Scholarship from the school.
Scholarship Application & Required Documents
Students seeking the Higher Education Scholarship must submit the prescribed application form with supporting documents.
- A completed scholarship application form must be submitted.
- Copy of Class 12 marksheet.
- Copy of the previous academic year's marksheet.
- Fee receipt of the current course.
- Copy of Aadhaar Card.
- Recent photograph.
- Attendance certificate of the previous academic year.
- Self-certified declaration confirming that the applicant is not receiving a scholarship from the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Staff Leave Rules
The following leave rules apply to teachers and school employees.
- A teacher or employee seeking leave should normally submit a written application to the committee at least 24 hours in advance.
- The leave will be considered and approved by the committee.
- Except in exceptional circumstances, normally only one teacher should be on leave on a particular day.
- In an emergency, the teacher or employee must inform the school before taking leave.
- Exceptional circumstances may include health problems, vehicle-related problems, accidents or other genuine emergencies recognised by the management.
- If leave has not been approved and a teacher or employee remains absent, salary deduction may be made according to the applicable school rule.
- Such unauthorised leave may not be counted as regular sanctioned leave.
- Repeated use of such leave beyond the permitted limit may be treated as indiscipline.
- A teacher may arrive late up to the permitted limit during a month where specifically allowed by the school leave policy.
- A teacher may leave the school approximately half an hour before closing time up to the permitted number of occasions in a month.
- For a first-half leave, a teacher should report before the beginning of the fifth period.
- For a second-half leave after attending school, the teacher may leave after completing four periods, subject to approval.
Medical Assistance Policy
Medical assistance is available to eligible teachers and employees subject to prescribed conditions.
- For medical assistance, 50% of eligible hospital bills, pharmacy bills and diagnostic bills may be reimbursed, subject to a maximum assistance of ₹15,000 in one academic session.
- Alternatively, an eligible teacher or employee opting for an insurance policy may receive assistance towards 50% of the insurance premium, subject to the applicable maximum limit.
- Medical assistance and insurance premium assistance together will not exceed ₹15,000 under the applicable scheme.
- The scheme covers teachers, compounders, Class IV employees and sanitation workers.
- Eligible family members under the scheme may include the employee's spouse, unmarried sons and unmarried daughters.
- A doctor's prescription, hospital bill, pharmacy bill and diagnostic bill must be submitted to claim medical assistance.
- A health-related payment below ₹2,000 will not normally be issued through cheque.
- Such cheque payments will be made a maximum of two times in a year.

School Discipline Policy
All students are expected to follow school rules, maintain regular attendance, respect teachers and fellow students, protect school property and maintain appropriate behaviour. Repeated or serious violations may result in penalties, withdrawal of school benefits, re-admission requirements or permanent removal from the school.
